Post Easter Boat Servicing

With less than 2 weeks until Easter, if you havent had your boat serviced you will struggle to get it done anywhere now.  The workshops are all busy and timely parts supply remains a problem across the board, not to mention that workshop staff all go on holiday’s too.  For many people Easter school holidays is the last big hitout for the summer and then many boats go into hibernation until September or October.  If you fall into this category, we always recomend that Post Easter is the ideal time to get your servicing done.    It is always less stressful from a timing point of view, there is less chance you will miss out on any glorious boating days and then you can tuck it away before the winter weather sets in, knowing that it is done and ready to go when you want it.    Other benefits are that you have just spent time on board and will most likely have a list of little jobs that you want done; If you wait until September that list is forgotten and the jobs will still need doing at the end of the next boating season.  Prices for parts and labour often go up at the start of each financial year, so you will beat the price rises if you service in April, May and June. Items such as wheel bearings and brake pads dont like sitting around salt encrusted. They rot away over winter only to fail on your first outing.  Then there is the fact that at ABS we have enough storage space that you can do a Saturday drop off and following Saturday pick up, so no hurrying – after work, peak hour, post daylight, rainy nights, towing through traffic dramas.  It doesnt get any easier than that – save money, save time, save stress – better boating and towing across the board.   So the message is – be the smart boater and book in your boat for a service, sooner rather than later. You’ll be glad you did.
