Aussie Boat Sales started life at the Anchorage Marina way back in 1983 when the O’Hare family purchased the marina, cementing the family’s long held boating passion by getting involved in the industry directly.  Scott O’Hare used to work at the marina during his school holidays and now 40 years later is the dealer principle of ABS and president of the BIAV.    The Anchorage underwent a major upgrade in 2005, with Scott and his Dad (Terry) replacing the old timber jetties with an expanded 100 berth floating marina and modern facilities.

The Anchorage was originally called Parsons Marina and has been servicing recreational boaters since the 1800’s. It was one of Melbourne’s very first commercial marinas.  Situated between the Yarra River and Port Phillip Bay, the Anchorage is still owned by the O’Hare’s and still offers a safe and friendly location, close to historic Williamstown, with its museum’s, shops, pubs and restaurants.  The Anchorage offers free day time visitors berthing and great deals for longer term seasonal, or annual berthing, make the Anchorage Marina your new boating destination.
