First Time Boat Owners get Special Attention at ABS
ABS have been busy rigging and delivering new boats over the last few weeks and have been busy teaching new boat owners the ropes. ‘Following on from the Melbourne Boat Show in October, we have been busy doing what we love the most, handing over new boats to our customers, and these last few weeks it’s been all about Stejcraft’. Said Scott O’Hare, ABS dealer principle.
Pictured here are Mario and Maria Andreou taking delivery of their new Honda powered Stejcraft 580 Islander Deluxe. The Andreou’s are first time boat owners and have enjoyed an extended handover session, learning how to get the boat on and off the trailer, tie up at a marina and basic boat ownership tasks – such as engine flush, cleaning, set up and pack up procedures. which is all part of how ABS like to handover a boat.
‘We are unique in that sense’, says Scott, ‘we are lucky to have the Anchorage Marina with our own boat ramp to be able to do a proper handover and ensure that our customers are confident in the basics of boat ownership in general.’ ‘When people are confident, they will use the boat more often; and we particularly encourage the whole family, partners and kids to learn. Many hands make light work and if everyone works as a team, the experience is far more enjoyable’, he said.
ABS offer this extended tuition with every boat sold for those who feel they need it, so if you are worried about taking the first step, ABS are there to help.
